- 1 can black beans
 - 1/2 cup white onion
 - 1/8 to 1/4tsp salt
 - 1/8 to 1/4 tsp pepper
 - garlic
 - jalapeno (optional)
 
Directions
 - mash 2/3 of the beans
 - add the other 1/3 of the beans with 1/2 cup water and bring to boil
 - add the onions, garlic, salt and pepper and lower heat
 - let cook on low for about 10 mins or until onions are tender
